# Owner approvals and account

You decide what an agent may spend. The agent starts a budget or purchase request through the
client or HTTP API; you review its link, approve in your wallet, and manage linked agents on
[Account](https://www.superstables.com/account). **Testnet only.**

## Start

Use [Get started](https://www.superstables.com/get-started) to hand a task to an agent, and [Testnet funds](https://www.superstables.com/testnet) to prepare
your wallet. An agent running the client needs to be able to run commands. An agent limited to HTTP
can request a [single purchase on superstables.com](https://www.superstables.com/docs/purchase.md). A read-only chat cannot start either flow.

For client setup, chains, approval modes and state, see the
[client README](https://github.com/superstables/superstables-client#readme) and
[installation guide](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client.md). If you run the client yourself, start with local approval in the
[budget guide](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client/budget.md). The steps below describe your side of approval on superstables.com.

Open the complete approval link the agent gives you, including the part after `#`. Match the code
on the page to the code in the agent's message. Only approve a request you asked the agent to make.

Sign in with an Ethereum wallet, such as MetaMask. This signs a message, moves no funds and costs
no gas. Signing in does not grant a budget or approve a purchase. Solana payments and budgets also
need a compatible Solana wallet. Your wallet browser must support the requested signing flow.

## Approve a budget

The agent asks to add itself to your account, then asks for a grant and any required gas funding.
These requests can arrive together on one approval page. Review the agent address, chain, asset,
cap and each wallet transaction before approving. Adding an agent alone moves no funds and gives
it no spending permission.

A confirmed grant lets the agent spend without asking for each purchase. On EVM and Solana the
chain limits the total allowance; it does not enforce a seller list, expiry or per-payment maximum.
Tempo can also enforce expiry and other restrictions shown in the grant. The agent's key stays
where the client runs. Approval on superstables.com does not move budget purchase execution onto the website.

After you decide, tell the agent so it can read the request outcome and check the chain. A submitted
wallet transaction is not yet confirmation of a grant. For the full lifecycle and the choice of where to approve,
read [Use a budget](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client/budget.md); for key authority, read
[Security](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client/security.md).

## Single purchase

The agent creates a purchase from the site's purchase catalogue and sends its link and code.
Review the service, amount, asset, chain and recipient. After sign-in, approve that purchase in
the relevant wallet. No budget setup or agent key is required for this flow. A service listed in
the discovery index is not necessarily available through this purchase catalogue.

Tell the agent when you have decided. It checks the outcome and returns the service response;
approval alone does not establish that payment settled or the service delivered. See
[Single purchase](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client/buy-once.md) for Single purchase on your machine and Single purchase on superstables.com.

## Account

Sign in to [Account](https://www.superstables.com/account) with the same Ethereum wallet used for the request on superstables.com. It shows
linked agents and their budget status, plus the latest 50 single purchase requests on superstables.com associated
with that sign-in wallet. Open the agent's original link to approve a pending request.

Local-only agents and local payments do not appear automatically. Budget purchases are not listed
as single purchase history on superstables.com. The budget's “Used” value reports on-chain pulls where supported; it
is not a service-by-service purchase record. Keep the client's [records](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client/records.md) for
purchase details and uncertain outcomes.

### Revoke or remove an agent

Use an agent's Revoke action and approve the revocation in your wallet. Check the resulting chain
status before treating the remaining permission as stopped. Revocation does not reverse payments
or return funds already transferred. You can revoke from Account even if the runtime has lost its
agent key.

Remove an agent only after it has no live allowance; removal is refused while an allowance remains
or cannot be checked. To change a budget, revoke it and ask the agent for a new grant. A revoked or
expired Tempo key needs a new agent key before a new grant.

Account's editable limits, Freeze wallet and bulk revocation controls are disabled by default.
When enabled, Freeze blocks new purchase, grant and gas-funding approvals. You can still revoke
existing chain allowances; Freeze does not revoke them for you.
For recovery and ending client use, follow [Security](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client/security.md) and
[Uninstalling](https://www.superstables.com/docs/client.md#uninstalling).
